This cozy apartment is nestled on a quiet street in a superb location within walking distance of the downtown district with its myriad restaurants and eclectic shops as well as museums, parks, marinas, churches, a $9M+ library, and Havre de Grace's renowned PROMENADE.  The Promenade is a scenic boardwalk that meanders along the waterfront from the historic Concord Point Lighthouse to Tydings Park which overlooks the City Marina and the Chesapeake Bay.  There is a popular playground in the park as well as 2 pickleball courts, a picnic pavilion and a war memorial.  This park is a prime location for many of the concerts and festivals held in Havre de Grace throughout the year, including the New Year's Eve "duck drop" and fireworks.  Have you noticed a couple of  funny little vehicles being driven around town?  Hail  them down and RIDE THE TIDE, a free jitney service that picks you up and drops you off at popular HdG stops--just another fun feature that makes Havre de Grace the Destination Place!   The owner retains use of the ground level space for a personal office and storage, so there is no tenant parking in the driveway.  However, there is abundant, convenient on-street parking available in front of the building on both sides of the road.  Young Street is a short, quiet road that overlooks greenspace and is an easy walk to the waterfront.  We looked all around for comparable apartments and couldn't find anything that matched the quality,  location and price of 520 Young Street--and we think you will agree...and a FABULOUS TENANT BENEFIT is that the rent includes taxes and utilities:  electric, water/sewer and trash.  You are only responsible to pay for your own internet/TV service and renter's insurance for your furniture and belongings.  Do you travel frequently?  Havre de Grace is uniquely situated approximately an hour's drive to both BWI and Philadelphia International Airports, and 45 minutes to Avelo in Wilmington.  If you are heading south, The MARC train station in Aberdeen is only 5.3 miles away.   For your health and safety and that of future tenants, NEITHER PETS NOR SMOKING ARE PERMITTED--with the exception of an assistance animal.   Square footage and all room sizes are approximate.  All initial funds (first month's rent and 1 month security deposit) must be in the form of bank/certified checks or money orders and are due when Landlord gives verbal acceptance of your application after reviewing results of your credit report and criminal background check.  Those funds will hold the apartment for you until the lease is fully executed.
